A Brief History
In late 2018 The Nett Church acquired the facilities formerly known as John Wesley United Methodist Church on Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross, Georgia. Soon after, Nett Church Works, a registered 501(c)3, and the “Nettwork Campus” were launched in order to repuprose the former church property to address the needs and leverage assets of the Norcross community.
Our Mission and Strategy
Our strategy is to create a portfolio of programs and ministries using strategic partnerships with public, private and faith-based organizations, and ultimately strengthening the emotional, social, and spiritual vitality within the community.
Our first partnership at The Nettwork Campus is with HomeFirst Gwinnett (an initiative of Gwinnett County, United Way and Primerica) to provide the only emergency shelter space in Gwinnett for women and children experiencing homelessness, as well as the county’s first coordinated-entry system to address homelessness. Nettwork also offers and summer arts camp for youth, a community garden, and space for the Word of God to be preached and taught in whatever languages needed. Currently, the Nettwork Campus has Vietnamese and Spanish language services on Sundays. The Vietnamese congregation is a part of The Nett Church, while two Spanish congregations are other local churches using the space.
The Nettwork Campus is on the lookout for more partners, sponsors and volunteers to provide more services to the homeless in Gwinnett County.
